I spent the first two decades of my life in the South, in both East Tennessee and South Carolina, which made for an interesting mix of country music, small towns, quirky people, and hurricanes. To most, the beach and the mountains are about as similar as sugar and salt, but to me they are both home. In both places I knew a world that was hugely social. Gathering was a ritual and a lifeline.

I have seen both of my grandmothers run beautiful homes and entertain with a sort of ease and panache that only southern grandmothers can master. I treasure their 1970’s dinnerware and iconic recipes. My mother is about as creative as they come, and I have watched (and at times, helped) her curate fanciful tablescapes from ordinary objects, throw many a memorable party, and delightfully reimagine the design and layout of every apartment I have ever lived in (as well as making my college dorm room and summer camp bunks resemble magazine spreads, which was no small feat). The collection of hats she wears also once included etiquette teacher, which makes it unsurprising as to why every one of my friends has described her as chic, classy…and proper.

I am wildly inspired by these women, and so is my hosting style. I love to mix classic southern hospitality with a touch of modern flair. I’ve been known to put the family silver on the table alongside treasured Target finds and estate sale gems. In short, I enjoy making beautiful things that people can enjoy, whether it’s a party or dinner table, a panty or fridge, holiday decorations, or something more. It would be my absolute pleasure to assist you with these in your own home so that you can enjoy them, and have more time to enjoy them, with your friends, family, clients, and loved ones.
